Nintendo Switch
Nintendo Switch is a breath of fresh air in the industry of handheld devices and consoles, allowing players to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Nintendo's latest piece of hardware took the world of video games by storm in early 2017 with its unique hybrid design. It has two controllers included and a beautiful screen that is supposed to restore the glory of handheld gadgets. Nintendo Switch came with limited online service at launch, but more features are added for players to enjoy the best gaming experience.

    Nintendo Switch Design

Right from the start, Nintendo Switch fascinated the gaming community with its its handheld, console and tabletop modes. The device is a cool hybrid between a console and two detachable controllers that can be plugged into a TV. Users also receive a USB type C power cable and the HDMI cable needed to connect it to their television. Developers intended to cover all angles and the result is a jack of all trades device.

    Nintendo Switch Modes

The most popular mode is the handheld, which is slightly larger than its counterparts and features an analogue stick and split D-pad. Nintendo Switch has detachable Joy-Cons each with their own button configuration, analogue sticks and shoulder buttons. This is a steep departure from the classic Nintendo format and allows the left Joy-Con to turn into an individual controller.

The console mode enables players to connect the device to the TV and this can be done in real-time. Players can detach the Joy-Cons and once the device is connected to a TV set, gaming action moves to it automatically from the console’s screen. Tabletop mode uses the kickstand attached to the back of the display to prop it up on the table. This is the least use of all Nintendo Switch Modes.

Nintendo chose to walk down the less traveled paths and was very bold when designing its new device. Nintendo Switch is a hybrid between a console and a handheld gadget, allowing players to quickly switch from one mode to the other. Innovative and exciting, it runs some of the best looking games for handheld devices and is highly adaptable.
