Nintendo Entertainment System commonly referred to as NES is a pioneer in the consoles industry and it used to run Nintendo’s most popular videogames.

The Nintendo Entertainment System (widely referred to as NES) is a video games console developed and released by Nintendo. It was first released in Japan in 1983 and during the 1985 and 1986 it was released in other parts of the world. This video game console is running on the 8-bit system.  This video console was the best sold video console in the world in that time and it helped to bring back to life the American industry of games development. The games that were developed for this console were mostly Famicom cartridges that were connected to the adapter and that adapter would be connected to the NES console.

Some of the most popular games ever were actually developed for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The quality of those games was amazing and the longevity of some of those games actually is the witness to that. Some of those games are: Super Mario Bros, Dr. Mario, Excitebike, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Super Contra, Kid Icarus, Balloon Fight, Mega Man 2, StarTropics and many other that remained popular for many years in the future.
