Halo World Championship North America Regional Finals was the competition once again organized in Columbus, Ohio and this city is slowly becoming a center of eSports competitions in the United States.
The Definition
Halo World Championship North America Regional Finals was the competition that saw 16 teams battling each other in order to determining the best eight teams that will participate in the Halo World Championship that was held later that year. Once again, MLG Arena hosted the competition and teams competed from February 19th to February 21, 2016. The format of the competition included teams of four playing against the other teams of four the game of Halo 5. Besides the place at the Halo World Championship, these teams also competed for the prize pool of 50,000 thousand dollars. Teams start the competition in the four groups and the best two teams from each groups advanced to the Championship bracket and in that part of the competition the winner of the match was determined by best of 5 series. After the first round of the Brackets and until the end of the competition, the winners were determined by best of 7 series.
Types of the Games Featured
This competition was organized in three different modes of the Halo 5 game. These three modes included Slayer Mode, Strongholds Mode as well s the Capture the Flag mode. Besides these modes, the Halo 5 game at the competition also included many different maps.
