Lunatic-Hai and RunAway were the teams to qualify for the final act of the prestigious OGN Overwatch APEX competition. The deciding matches were played at the Korea University Tiger Dome in Seoul and drew large crowds both on-site and online. The interest for this series that eventually spanned over seven games was tremendous, given the name of the finalists. Few players were under the impression that the winner will walk away with the trophy at the end of back-to-back victories.

    Lunatic-Hai Overcomes Big Deficit

RunAway was the team to start the finals in a more convincing way, and took the lead early on Oasis. The fans were enthusiastic, especially given the financial hardships that affect this team which is currently without a sponsor. The simple fact that they managed to make the finals was a great achievement. Lunatic-Hai's played better in the second match but failed miserably in the end, and two games later, they found themselves in a 1-3 hole.

At this point, RunAway was credited with the first chance to win the OGN Overwatch APEX Season 2 finals. Much to the dismay of the fans and those watching the games, they managed to blow the 3-1 lead by losing the next three games in a row. Lunatic-Hai dominated the fifth and sixth matches and the stage was set for a grand finale in a decisive game. RunAway team members were by now under a lot of pressure and eventually succumbed to it, to lose the series in seven matches.
