The most important FIFA competition of 2017 took place in Berlin over the weekend and it was won by Chevrey “Vitality_Rocky” Corentin. It was an intense match that could’ve gone either way, but a last-minute rally made Chevrey the latest winner of the FIFA Ultimate Team Championship. The original format of this competition requires players to secure victory on different consoles. In this tournament, the winner is decided based on the aggregate score recorded on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.

Nail-Biting Finish Decides FIFA Ultimate Team Championship Winner

The FIFA Ultimate Team Championship started in a surprising manner, with Corentin winning on the console he was in theory less familiar with. Since the competition uses the same system of home and away matches as real football events, Chevrey suddenly emerged as the big favorite. What was expected to be a comfortable victory in the second match started with two early goals scored by Springette. With just a couple of minutes left to go, he was leading by the odd goal, but had the advantage of scoring more on the road. Then came the free kick that Corentin converted, much to the dismay of his opponent.

This edition of the FIFA Ultimate Team Championship was by far the most exciting and produced some of the best competitive FIFA matches ever. The tournament had a guaranteed prize pool of $400,000, with the largest chunk of the money being reserved to the winner. Corentin’s Neymar was the one that brought him victory and left FIFA fans anxiously waiting for the next tournament.
