The second installment in Starcraft's final trilogy, Heart of the Swarm story picks up where Wings of Liberty left and introduces brand-new units that make the gameplay even more exciting. The game can only be played on Microsoft Windows powered PCs and shines the brightest in multiplayer.
Singleplayer Mode
Starcraft II Heart of the Swarm story is truly spectacular and culminates with the final confrontation between iconic characters. Sarah Kerrigan and Jim Raynor spent most of the time in the spotlight, trying to establish an uneasy truce. Arcturus Mengsk continues to plot against them, but his time is quickly running out and a new force emerges within the Terran Dominion. The plot thickens in the later stages of the campaign and the stage is set for a wide scale battle against an ancient evil.
Multiplayer Mode
Starcraft II Heart of the Swarm multiplayer brings the best out of both casual and professional players. It is now possible to play the game in co-op mode and complete some of the most difficult missions together with a friend. Classic multiplayer will pit players against each other in regular or ranked matches that allow them to move up the leaderboard. At the highest level, different maps are used by professional players, maps that are perfectly balanced and don’t give players an edge based on their race of choice.
Summary
Starcraft II Heart of the Swarm has an amazing story and an even better multiplayer. It introduces new features and allows players to upgrade units, unlock new troops and complete missions in cooperative play. This installment has the best cut scenes in the entire franchise and sets the stage for the final confrontation in Legacy of the Void.
