PES 2018 is an acronym for Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, a football simulator published by Konami and developed by PES Productions. It is the seventh video game in the series and it was released in September 2017 to run for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles. The game is available on Microsoft Windows systems and it is a direct competitor to the football games developed by EA Sports.
Gameplay of PES 2018
Konami made very few changes to the gameplay of PES 2018, which is virtually unchanged from the previous iteration. The reasoning behind this action was probably not to change something that worked smoothly and was praised by the demanding community of players. Most of the changes were implemented in the demo version, such as limited stadiums, feature sets and clubs. The core gameplay mechanics haven’t changed much, with the game still rewarding offensive strategies. In the latest installment, footballers are better at making the transition from defensive plays to deadly counter attacks.
PES 2018 Graphics and Sounds
Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 was praised for setting the bar high once again, in terms of visuals and sound effects. The developers have added a data pack that features more than 100 new players, with face updates. The result is a high number of squads that feature players whose resemblance to their real-life counterparts is uncanny.
A lot of attention has been paid to details, such as backboards and equipment, with better looking shirts, shorts and boots. Konami has signed licensing deals with some of the biggest football clubs as well as national teams and football federations. This allows them to feature more players, logos and stadiums, which ultimately benefits the community of players.
PES 2018 changed very few things compared to the previous installment, but it is still head and shoulders above its direct rivals. Fluid animations, great commentaries and a solid gameplay that encourages players to play offensive football make Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 and excellent football simulator. The addition of new stadiums, improved footballers and bigger rosters add more depth to an already competitive football simulator.
