Injustice 2 is the sequel of the popular fighting videogame published by Warner Bros. and developed by NetherRealm Studios. The game can be enjoyed on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles, while also being compatible with mobile devices powered by Android and iOS. The popular game mechanics have returned, with slight adjustments, a loot dropping system and better graphics. Its narrative is centered on Batman and the events unfolding in the wake of the imprisonment of Superman by the Caped Crusader.
Injustice 2 gameplay doesn’t stray too far from the mechanics that made Injustice: Gods Among Us so popular. It has the trait system that players can use to boost the abilities of their characters and maximize the damage done. The developers have tried to incorporate elements specific to first person shooters to make the game play more dynamic. Injustice 2 has a super meter that players use whenever they want to execute special actions.
It needs to be fully charged, so those who play need perfect timing to extract the most from this unique feature. Compared to its predecessor, the new game enables players to avoid environmental attacks, although not all of them can be blocked. The addition of a loot dropping system commonly referred to as "Gear System", adds a new layer of depth and makes the game more immersive. Players who acquire rare gear and special items will benefit from bonus augmentations which are visually pleasing and effective.
Graphics and Sounds
Injustice 2 outshines its predecessor when it comes to graphics and animations. Players have several costumes to choose from and the fighting videogame benefits from the addition of new offensive and defensive items. The game has a single player campaign with cut scenes that get players fully immersed, in conjunction with the innovative guild system.
Injustice 2 is overall a better game than Injustice: Gods Among Us, thanks to the addition of the new features. Players have nearly 30 characters to choose from, new game mechanics to learn and master and several unique arenas to conquer. The bottom line is that Injustice 2 sets the bar high for its peers and is currently one of the best fighting games available.
