Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Halo: The Master Chief Collection compiles the best games in the franchise, with updated graphics and sound effects that do them justice.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is actually a compilation of the previous installments of the Halo franchise. These games were developed by 343 Industries and it was published by Microsoft Studios in 2014. This collection contains several games and those are Halo 4, Halo 3, Halo 2, and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Besides these games that this collection is providing, it also provides the possibility to the live-action series from the Halo franchise such as Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: Nightfall. This collection did not only put together different titles. It also introduces the upgraded versions of the games so the players will be able to fully enjoy the experience.

At first you might think that playing games from the Halo franchise that have been released many years ago will be a bit problematic or rather dated but the upgrades that we mentioned before will make the experience of the playing older Halo games a new experience. With those upgrades the graphics of the games was significantly improved. However, the improved graphics on some of the older games might cause some frozen frames and frozen soldier here and there. However, in general, the improved graphics will definitely make the experience of playing these games different than before. Besides graphics the sound features were also improved and upgraded in comparison to the initial versions of these games.

Specifically, one of the greatest improvements out of all games was done on Halo 2 Anniversary. In this installment, or in this collection, Halo 2 Anniversary is actually running on two graphics engines and at the same time. When playing this game, the player has the opportunity of switching from 2004 graphics versions to the 2014 graphics version that was released from Xbox One. Previously when we talked about the problems that occur with the renewed graphics we mostly talked about Halo 2 Anniversary. The adjustment of the graphics in this game for this collection edition should have been more developed or at least a little bit more effort should have been put in the development.

However, not all features have been improved. One of the biggest issues with this edition of the Halo franchise is in regards to the Multiplayer mode. This mode did not at all perform the way we wanted or expected. On many occasions, it took too long to load certain features. Besides that, occasionally random maps would be selected without being player selecting them. However, the biggest problem for us was the fact that when playing in multiplayer mode this game continued to crash to desktop several times and it froze on more than one occasion as well.

This installment of Halo franchise was released as a way of celebrating the longevity and the popularity of the franchise. However, we cannot but to think that this collection was released without any serious effort that was put in the development. Despite that, it still feels good to play Halo games that have been upgraded and improved in so many features. However, those features that caused problems are ruining the experience that the players will have while playing this game.
